Out of the mouths of babes...

“My daughter suggested that instead of going overseas for mission work, I do something locally for the people of Joliet. With the state of the current economy, she thought it would be a great boost for the community. She then received some information from Touched Twice United, a group that helps organize local clinics. After much prayer, we decided to tackle the clinic.”

and so began Joliet Cares.

Joliet Cares, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is a free community event created to meet the physical, medical and spiritual needs of the underserved. Many hands and donations are required before, during and after the event. We are asking our brothers and sisters in Christ to assist in providing physical, as well as, spiritual care to the community.

What the clinic provides

Free medical screenings, a food pantry, a clothes closet, haircuts, family portraits, a warm meal, a kids' area and spiritual counseling.

How you can help

♥  Each $18 box from the food pantry contains food and personal care items. The donation goal for the food pantry is $7,200, which will allow us to purchase seven times that much in food. Our goal is to serve over 1,200 guests.
♥  Gather your gently worn clothes and donate them to the clothes closet.
♥  If you are a licensed nurse, dentist, optometrist, doctor, hairstylist or professional photographer, your talents are needed.
♥  Spanish Interpreters
♥  Food Servers
♥  Greeters
♥  Shepherds
♥  Prayer warriors

Approximately 300 volunteers are needed along with financial support. Please prayerfully consider volunteering your time, talents and/or resources to the underserved, and then click here to complete the contact form. Please step forward in faith and help us serve our community and Christ.

The fourth Joliet Cares event will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 10:00am to 2:00pm The clinic will be held at Christian Youth Center, 1110 Manhattan Road, Joliet, IL 60433.
